Gardens Illustrated Festival (17 – 18 April 2015)

I am very excited to be talking at The Gardens Illustrated Festival on Saturday 18th April at 2pm in The Assembly Hall, Malmesbury. There are loads of fantastic speakers over the weekend and a marquee full of top exhibitors, not to be missed.

Stone House Cottage – Garden & Nursery

This is the most romantic of gardens with a fantastic plantsman’s nursery attached to it. The home of Louisa and James Arbuthnott near Kidderminster which has been created since they bought the Gardener’s Cottage and walled garden in 1974. This appeared in the July 2012 issue of Gardens Illustrated and was also the cover.

Garden & Wood

This is the garden of Piers & Louise from Garden & Wood. Apart from having the most beautiful garden, they also sell antique and vintage garden tools, garden furniture and garden ephemera. This was shot for Gardens Illustrated and appeared in the July 2012 issue.

Scampston Walled Garden

I was lucky enough to cover a shoot at Scampston Walled Garden a couple of years ago for Country Living Magazine. This wonderful garden is set within the walls of the original kitchen garden for Scampston Hall. The garden was derelict for nearly fifty years when Sir Charles and Lady Legard started a huge restoration project with the help of garden designer, Piet Oudolf. This garden looks stunning during late summer and well worth the visit to North Yorkshire.
